Cancer Chronicles Ep 6: Laughter, Love, and a Little Weasel Coffee

Have you gone mad Jenni? Maybe:)

Ever wondered how to find laughter in life’s toughest moments?

Welcome back to Confessions of an Aging Ingénue, Season 3! I’m your sweet host Jenni Tooley and I’m excited to have you join me on another unfiltered episode of the Cancer Chronicles.

I’m chronicling my journey, experiences and most importantly, the lessons I’m learning as someone diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer. But don’t worry, this isn’t a sad story. I’m bringing my sense of humor, vulnerability, and realness to the forefront, turning this journey into something relatable and—absolutely—uplifting.

I take you with me through the wild ride of my first day of chemo and radiation. Between the six-centimeter tumor I’m determined to shrink and trying weasel coffee, I’m finding ways to laugh, stay grounded, and assemble a support team to help me through. It's all about staying positive, even when life gets messy. Along the way, I’ve created rituals like meditating with my cats and taking my chemo pills with a dose of gratitude. These small actions help me stay present and find joy in the midst of the chaos.

This post is public so feel free to share it with someone who could use it:)

In this episode, you’ll get a firsthand account of my cancer journey, with raw honesty and practical insights on how I manage both the emotional and physical challenges. I’ve learned that it’s possible to find calm and even laughter in the most uncertain times. You’ll hear how I’ve been able to navigate this life-changing experience by creating new routines, focusing on gratitude, and surrounding myself with a strong support system. If I’m going to feel like crap, let’s condense it all and get it done quicker!  This approach—along with the idea of finding fun even in tough situations—keeps me grounded.

This episode is packed with laughter, honesty, and heart—whether you're dealing with cancer or just trying to manage life’s everyday chaos. So, tune in!
